Patrick Gaetjens comes to Eau Claire from New York, where he worked for New York City’s Economic Development Corporation managing tax incentive projects for industrial companies as well as a sales tax exemption program for businesses recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

Patrick brings a variety of private, public and academic experience to the Eau Claire EDC, having worked for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and while completing Master’s degrees in Public Administration and International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School. Before graduate school he worked on projects for the U.S. Agency for International Development and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania, which has prepared him well for Wisconsin winters.

Originally from New England, with family from New York City, Patrick cheers for Boston sports teams. The Eau Claire EDC was able to overlook this flaw, and Patrick is excited to be assisting entrepreneurs in starting up their businesses and helping established companies expand.
