Eau Claire is ready to run during the 10th Season of the FIREBALL RUN Travel Series
Posted by adminALT on September 15th, 2016
Eau Claire, WI will be represented during the 10th season of the FIREBALL RUN. The FIREBALL RUN Adventurally series follows 40 teams as they compete in a legendary 2,000-mile, life-sized trivia game. The goal of the game? To discover the road less traveled in an epic quest for America’s under-discovered places. This entertaining and emotional adventure-travel series educates audiences and inspires travel.
Not to be mistaken with reality-TV, FIREBALL RUN is a factual adventure-travel competition show that focuses on destination facts and history. Elaine Coughlin, Marketing Director of Eau Claire Regional Arts Council, will be representing Eau Claire in the 10th season of the FIREBALL RUN as part of one of the teams followed throughout the 8-day competition. Elaine’s participation in the FIREBALL RUN is sponsored by Dynamic Fitness & Strength and she will be joined by Meredith Lee from Pierre, South Dakota.
Elaine explains the importance of participating in the series: “This is a unique and exciting opportunity to develop relationships with individuals who are always looking for new and under-discovered places for either business or recreation. I’m looking forward to representing our area and fortifying Eau Claire’s reputation!”
Elaine Coughlin, Marketing Director of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council, attended and earned degrees at both the University of Wisconsin-Stout and Chippewa Valley Technical College. Prior to her work with the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council, she worked for the City of Eau Claire and Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. and brings with her a love for this community. She was born and raised in Eau Claire and has a great appreciation for the arts and all other kinds of creative activities. Teams for the FIREBALL RUN mainly consist of top industry executives, celebrities, and notable elected leaders.
While the teams are competing with one another, they are also supporting a very noble cause: locating missing children in America. The FIREBALL RUN is America’s largest active recovery effort for missing kids – and efforts of the show have resulted in the successful recovery of 47 missing children. The FIREBALL RUN works with the Child Rescue Network, a Florida-based 501-c3, assigns each team a child missing from their hometown. Teams are provided 1,000 posters featuring that missing child, to distribute during the live event. FIREBALL RUN’s media campaign has resulted in the successful recovery of 47 missing children.
Eau Claire was selected to participating in the 10th season filming because producers have placed our community on the short list to be one of the destinations included in the 11th season of the FIREBALL RUN. If selected, the Eau Claire area will be featured in this live action entertainment series, streamed on Amazon Prime and broadcasted around the world.
“It is exciting to have this opportunity for Eau Claire to be represented on a travel series – increasing awareness of our vibrant community on a national and global scale is valuable.” states Luke Hanson, Executive Director of the Eau Claire Area EDC.
